Faith, Hope, Love

Tag for Tink!  This tag was created in honor of my good friend Tink.  She is fighting the cancer fight with such grace and dignity.  Her faith is steadfast and strong.  She is an example for all when it comes to keeping your spirits high despite adversity.
I love using old hymnal pages for my tag backgrounds.  Layering with paper, texture paste, diecut and flowers creates a wonderful presentation on this tag.

Getting My Bloggin Back

Here I am again trying to learn to blog and post! I would love to spend a day with Marilyn Nimmo to learn all about this task and activity that according to Cat Beaty I need to do way more often!
For now I will attempt this feat all on my own...
I am posting a wonderful Christmas tag I created last year for my tag class I teach at Cat's Creations Scrapbook Store in Mineral Wells, Texas!
Tags are something I have feel in love creating...the possibilities are endless and I enjoy sharing my creations with my artsy tag class ladies. For this particular tag I used my love of shadow boxes and incorporate it into a tag.  I had to use the large tag to accommodate all my pieces.  I felt everyone enjoyed making the tag and went away satisfied!
I love the reindeer flight diecut and use it often in my Christmas tag creations.
I used the postage stamp die and created a little shadowbox with chipboard.  Tim's Christmas stamps and mini bottle brush trees were the perfect match for a Santa shadowbox.

I also love the Noel die.

Drive By Shootings...with a Canon!

Everytime I drive to Mineral Wells, I keep an eye out for the wonderful herd of Hereford cattle that are in a pasture at the base of 7 Mile Hill.  I have observed this herd for many years and have always thought I would stop on the side of the road and take a photo of the bull.  But, alas, I just keep on trucking.  That is until this past Saturday.  I was toodling along when I noticed that the hereford cows were not really visible from the road.  As I continued along, another sight caught my eye.  I had to laugh when I saw the following view.  I turned around, drove back to the spot, pulled over, and rolled my window down for the pic.

It was indeed a hot afternoon.  These girls knew how to keep cool!
As I turned onto my road, I pulled over again to take this pic of the resting longhorn!

Fun pics of Bovine Beauties!

Summer 2015

Looking forward to some time spent with family in a very relaxing place...OBX and Ocracoke Island.  The above flowers were found on the beach last summer.  They were an elegant addition to our beach combing collection!
